Tank Data Acquisition and Inventory Management Systems
When TankView was released, in 1989, it allowed operators to significantly enhance their tank monitoring and data acquisition process. More importantly, it was the first system to integrate up to three major tank level and mass measurement instruments into a single system: float & tape gauges, servo gauges and hydrostatic tank gauges. Storage tank variables, such as level, temperature, mass, density, rate of flow, gross and net standard volumes, could all be displayed on the local workstation, shared with other computers, printed or logged to file. An evolution from the previous Varec systems software, TankView truly provided a window to the tank farm or terminal, from which all activity and product movement could be tracked and monitored.
